Eucharistic Celebration

Heads up dear brothers and sisters in Christ!
There would be a Eucharistic Celebration tomorrow, July 7, 2009 at Sanctuario de San Antonio Church, Makati. It will be headed by our very own and beloved Rev. Fr. Anton C. T. Pascual. The Holy Mass will start at exactly 7:30 pm.

Moreover, in line with the upcoming Life in the Spirit Encounter on August, there would also be “Salubungan” right after the Holy Mass – the initial face-to-face meeting of the shepherds and lambs.Tomorrow sure is a great day for all of us. Let us all witness God’s miracle unfold. We hope to see you!

Word:
The Power of Christ dwells with those who fully trust Him.

Theme:
The Power of Christ emboldens servant leaders to proclaim God’s words.

Promise:
“My Grace is sufficient for you, for power is made perfect in weakness.”
2 Corinthians 12:9a

Order:
Say to them: “Thus says the Lord! Whether they heed or resist… they shall know that a prophet is among them.”
Ezekiel 2:4b, 5

Prophecy:
I am the God whom you can trust. Believe that I will do what I say.
Be My good shepherds; go and proclaim My word and care for others.
I came so that you may have life, life to the fullest.
A prophet to the nations you should be.
Just as I called you, do everything in love and with love.
My people perish for lack of knowledge… I ask through you, make My word their life.
Let nothing hinder you from doing the work I have tasked you to do. Have faith and BELIEVE. I am with you always.

Direction:
Encourage members to develop and use their God-given gifts especially the gift of prophecy.

Reflection:
Servant leaders who trust in the power of the Lord are assured of His grace and blessings in their endeavors. Our Risen Lord knows the weaknesses of His disciples so He constantly reassured them that His grace was sufficient, for in weakness, they would be made strong and perfect by the Lord’s power and gift, the Holy Spirit who dwells in them. Even now, as our community goes to mission, we are called to bring God’s message of love and salvation to all. Sadly and truthfully, what is lacking in Serviam disciples is real zeal and passion in all that we do. While it is true that we want to serve the Lord, we lack the boldness to proclaim God’s Word, to serve as apostles and missionaries, to minister to others as good shepherds, and to trust fully in God’s provisions. In 2 Timothy 1:7, St. Paul writes, “God did ot give us a spirit of cowardice, but rather a spirit of power and of love and of self-discipline.”

Let us resolve to have and rekindle the zeal and passion for mission and community so that empowered by the Holy Spirit, we can use all our God-given gifts for His greater glory. Let us no longer be ashamed to use them for the sake of our Lord who sacrificed Himself that we may be saved. Then, Serviam will truly rise in splendor as God has promised. We will, we shall and we can do everything as our Risen Lord told us to, by the power of the Holy Spirit. To God be the glory, now and forever.
